coke studio is an award winning full-service design team within the coca-cola company. coke studio projects are featured within the company as well as full campaigns appearing to the public. since joining the team i have worked on the 2018 special olympics campaign and branded the annual conference held at coke headquarters in atlanta georgia. i worked closely with the development team to design websites for internal coca-cola teams and created illustrations for an interactive feature wall at the world of coke.
2018 special olympics
the us special olympic games started 50 years ago in seattle washington. since the beginning, coca-cola has partnered with special olympics in an effort to inspire all the participating athletes. The games still take place in their home town of seattle washington on the university of washington campus. the week-long event hosts athletic competitions as well as opening and closing ceremonies and many formal receptions. the design goal was to inspire the participating athletes by showcasing their abilities on billboards, transit signage, and event invites. this campaign appears on the path from the airport to the uw campus to cheer on the athletic competitors. this campaign will appear in the seattle area in early june 2018.
the out of home campaign consisted of billboards and transit signage. the messaging was meant to highlight the athletes and their sporting ability while celebrating the 50-year partnership of the games.
the attending coca-cola team would be greeted with materials inside their hotel room. each night a new profile card of an athlete would be placed inside the room highlighting a different athlete’s story. the pieces were printed on seeded paper acting as a dual use dsign and would allow the recipient to plant the paper for a lasting impression and memory of the games. the events also included branded credentials and customer email templates.
nfsop growth summit 2018
the nfsop growth summit occurs annually and serves as an opportunity to rally the coke team around the next year’s sales. the theme for the even this year is about growth in the company. to visually represent the theme of growth the logo incorporates upward arrows. the visual elements represent building blocks and act as visual representation of building the company and the achievement of growth.
coca-cola team web sites
coke studios partners with other departments within the company to create web sites for team communications. these team web sites are customized ways for each department to be able to communicate quickly with everyone. the designers and developers work closely to produce custom sites along with icon sets and photography.
